Meet Pao!

Q: Tell us a little bit about what you’ve been up to this Summer?
A: My name is Paola, or Pao. It feels so good to be back in my favorite little state after spending some time away in my home country, Peru and soaking in all the inspiration. Feeling very excited to have a Rhody summer!

 

Q: what are some of your favorite local haunts?
A: I love going for walks and sifting through vintage shops to find treasures. I usually pick up a cold caffeinated drink from The Coffee Exchange for a little pick me up too! And on date night Gift Horse is a fave of mine along with drinks at Glou.

 

Q: what are you up to when you aren’t at the shop?
A: When I’m not in the shop, you can find me in my home studio making jewelry for my shop @shopsumaq or taking on a new creative endeavor.

 

Q: what are your top picks in the shop right now?
A: Some of my favorite items in the shop currently are all the Green Beetle Shop shadow boxes, all the Subtle Art Studios mosaic coasters and the Kelly + Jones Mezcal perfume oil in Rojo.

 

Q: (*jazz hands) 🙌🏼 it’s been so great to have your energy in the space. How are you feeling now that you’ve spent your first two weeks at the shop?
A: I’m so excited to be a part of the Asterfields team, and being surrounded by such a creative environment, I look forward to meeting our amazing community.
